Accreditation

Ungooroo Aboriginal Corporation has received national accreditation from the Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL) for their GP and Health Services.

The accreditation is a major achievement and reinforces the standard of excellence set at Ungooroo. The accreditation further cements Ungooroo’s commitment to quality and safety within its health practice.

The AGPAL accreditation program was developed to provide a range of minimum expectations for patients surrounding safety and care. Health services are assessed based on the practice environment and their processes.

To achieve accreditation, a practice team works over a 12-month period to implement the Royal Australia College of General Practitioners (RACGP) standards for general practices, RACGP standards are the recognised national standard which provides a template for quality care and risk management.

Ungooroo GP and Health Services can now proudly display the AGPAL symbol for all their patients to see.

The Integrated Team Care (ITC) Program helps Aboriginal people living with chronic health conditions by providing clinical and non-clinical support and assistance. more information…
